International Trauma Life Support

Description

This is a two-day course aimed at equipping participants with knowledge and hands-on skills to care for trauma patients.  Participants will learn about latest assessment techniques and identification and performing of life-saving interventions.

Audience

The ITLS ® provider courses are aimed at basic and intermediate life support, advanced life support (ALS) paramedics, nurses and medical doctors who wish to further their knowledge in the management of trauma patients in the pre-hospital setting.

Course Completion Card or Certificate

On successful completion of the course (written and practical assessment), participants will receive an ITLS ® course completion certificate.  The certificate is valid for three years.

Hard Copies of the manual and electronic manuals are both available. In the notes section on the order, please let us know which manual you would rather have supplied.

    Course Certification:

    An AIEM certificate of completion will be issued upon successful completion of the course, a written and practical assessment are required in order for this certificate to be issued.

    SAQA accredited content for the US 119567 or for an advanced level: US 376480 is used, however SAQA accreditation is only applied if there is a requirement for this, and should be discussed on a course by course basis (this includes additional content and more notional hours as well as development of a portfolio of evidence).

    Course Duration: 5 Days (3 day theory and 2 day practical in a wilderness setting)
